We Won – great mornings football in glorious sunshine

Hamilton Panthers 1-1. Cross shot by Freddy and one lapse in concentration. Should have won comfortably.

Dringhouses won 2-1. They scored a very nice headed goal after which it was mostly one way traffic. Logan and Jack I think scoring. Jack’s coming from a wonderful flick pass from Logan

Heworth. won 3-0. Superb from beginning to end. Freddy a virtual spectator in goal. Logan, Harry and Jack scoring.

Everyone played really well and did their job in the position asked to play in. Jacob some great tackling and ran himself into the ground. Finn did well in all positions with great chasing back and some nice passing. Jack J strong as ever, big tackles, some nice passing and took goals well. Freddy good on left and brilliant as sweeper in second game. Nothing got past him. Logan nice wee stint in defence then up front to hassle and harry the opposition. Took goal(s)well and as above great pass for Jack’s goal. Harry big and strong as ever, glided past defenders with some great passing and tackling. Luke did well on left. Really got involved making some important interceptions and tackles. Regularly played simple ball to get attacks going. Last but not least we have a Shuggie. Just reads game so well and pops up where required. Tireless effort and unlucky not to score with a 15 yarder, brilliantly saved.

Super proud of all and we will have to go back and defend the trophy..
